Privacy Policy
Effective September 8, 2026
The short version
- We collect what it takes to run your shop’s account and nothing we don’t use.
- We never sell your information or your customers’ information.
- Your customers’ data belongs to your shop. We process it on your behalf and share it only with the services that make the product work.
- The aggregate industry data set is statistics only — the rules are in Section 4 of the Terms.
1. What We Collect
Account information. Your name, email address and password (stored hashed), and your shop’s name, phone number and street address. The address is how we count locations for billing.
Shop data you enter. Customers, vehicles, proposals, invoices, jobs, schedules, inventory, staff and settings — everything you put into the Service to run your business. This includes personal information about your customers and staff, which you are responsible for collecting lawfully.
Payment information. When you subscribe, your card is collected and stored by Stripe, not by us; we keep a reference to it, the card brand and last four digits. Payments your customers make to you run on your own Stripe account. We never see or store full card numbers.
Usage and technical data. Sign-in times, IP address and browser type on consent events (terms acceptance, e-signatures), how your customers interact with proposals you send them (viewed, accepted), and the page you signed up from. We use a session cookie to keep you signed in; we do not run third-party advertising trackers.
2. How We Use It
To provide and improve the Service; to send transactional email (confirmations, invoices, booking notifications, trial and billing notices); to bill you; to respond to support requests; to keep the Service secure; and, in aggregated, de-identified form only, to build the industry data set described in the Terms.
Where you turn on AI features (the Boardroom, the assistant, customer summaries), your shop’s figures and notes are sent to our AI provider to generate the response. They are not used to train that provider’s models.
4. Retention and Deletion
Your shop data is kept for as long as your account exists, including on the free plan. You can export it at any time (Terms, Section 4.2). When you close your account, we delete your shop data within 90 days, except records we must keep (payment and consent records) and the aggregated statistics already in the industry data set, which contain nothing that identifies your shop or your customers.
5. Your Choices and Rights
You can view and correct your account information in the app. You can ask us to delete your account, or to send you a copy of your data, by contacting us below. Depending on where you live you may have additional rights under laws such as the CCPA or GDPR; we will honor them. If you are one of our customers’ customers (for example, you received a proposal from a shop), contact the shop first — they control that data — and we will help them fulfil your request.
6. Security
Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Access is restricted by role inside your shop and by row-level security in our database. Credentials for connected services are stored separately from ordinary shop data with no client access. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your data, we will tell you promptly.
7. Children
The Service is for businesses and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
8. Changes
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email before they take effect. The effective date at the top is the version you are reading.
9. Contact
